Looking back at Minnecon, I’m reminded how before the A&D crowd even walks in, the hall is already alive with friends, booth neighbors, competitors, and trusted colleagues. We really are our own little secret society of support. (I could list 20 examples from the morning alone.) And yet—sage advice from a booth neighbor—sometimes the best move is simply to “go sit outside for a minute and enjoy a coffee.” ♥️ He offered that wisdom as I was over-thinking my setup and contemplating changing clothes, mind you!
Of course, Mother Nature had her fun. The rain came down, and for those of us under the tent…it came in. At e tu, it flowed right into the Water vignette. As many of my witty clients pointed out—at least it wasn’t Fire.
We also leaned into the numerology magic of 999—booth 900 on 9/9—with little quote cards to trust your crazy ideas. Watching people light up at that connection made all the prep worth it. Flowers are my creative outlet and shopping for earth, wind, water and fire to create one crazy bouquet was one of the highlights of my day.
And in the spirit of work perks, Dirk and I celebrated our anniversary with a stay at the Nicollet Island Inn. (Thoughtful of e tu to treat us, don’t you think? 😉) That beauty was just as sweet as my orange cream coffee that started the day. ✨
