A New Year’s “Don’t” List

At the end of this year, the only things I feel clear about are the things I
didn’t do.

This isn’t a list of resolutions.

It’s a list of choices that worked and are worth continuing, for me at least.

  1. Don’t let fear or someday decide for you. Some of the best moments started because I said yes.
  2. Don’t put yourself last. When I did, I paid for it later.
  3. Don’t wait for calendars to sync. Go solo. So much more enjoyment when it isn’t cloaked in coordination crisis.
  4. Don’t hurry through things. Slower moments made the days better.
  5. Don’t confuse busy with meaningful. The year worked best when my time was chosen, not filled.
